Achievers program was implemented in September, 2007. It is modeled
after a similar program developed in 1998 by the Metro‐Manhattan Chapter of the Links, Incorporated and the Alpha Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

The goal of the program is to address the issues facing young African‐American males in the metropolitan Richmond community by presenting them with effective life skills that will help them make positive transitions from high school to college and beyond.
